This resource is a great tool to keep students focused when creating different types of circuits. In groups/ pairs students are given a paper / electronic copy of this worksheet and have to work as a team to work through it. After they complete Circuit 1, the teacher comes over to examine and if they approve the circuit, they can tick it off and make the next circuit based on the description. It does get gradually harder so it is advised that students start from circuit 1 and work their way up. 

Students of all levels will leave the task completing at least 3 circuits. Put a timer on the board to ensure students aren’t too relaxed completing the task. 

As an extension I get students to draw out a schematic diagram for each of these circuits, with labels for their symbols.
