Grouping Cards and Questioning Cards.

  • A resource designed to ensure that making groups in your class is fun.
  • Can be used for all ages from 2nd class all the way up to 6th year.
  • Can work in all subjects including PE.
  • Ensures mixed-ability grouping within your classroom.
  • Just print, laminate, cut-out and you’re ready to use.

Grouping

  • This resource is designed for classes with 24 students but can work with smaller groups too.
  • Each student receives a card when entering the room and the teacher calls out a category that can allow groups of 2, 3, 4, and 6 to be formed.
  • This ensures that students can get a chance to work with peers that they might not usually get to work with.
  • The categories include sports, animals, food, and musical instruments.

Questioning

  • The numbers in the middle of the card can allow the teacher to ask random students questions in the class by simply asking the question and calling out a number to answer the question. E.g. “What is a prime number and can you give me two examples of prime numbers- Number 17 please”.
  • Make sure to ask the question first before calling out a number to ensure that all students are on a task.
